We engage with grass-root level civil society organizations and community-based networks to empower marginalized and vulnerable women and youth. We provide humanitarian assistance to the people affected by natural calamities, victims of war and insurgency attacks.
Our overall mission is to promote gender equality in Afghanistan by focusing on efforts on promoting the social, educational, economic and political development of Afghan women, delivering child protection services to vulnerable and needy children by focusing on their education, nutrition, health and sports. We also spend great effort in building women capacities, raising their social and legal awareness, supporting them to develop themselves into equal partners, active citizens and central decision-makers, enabling them to step into leadership roles, addressing women needs and advocate for community concerns through which women assert their dignity and pursue human rights and peace.
We at HHWO strive to create a future in which all Afghan women will be viewed and treated equally as men and children will be treated in accordance to UN Child protection policy. Our vision is that, all Afghan women become self-sustaining, well recognized and truly respected in Afghan communities across the country. We also seek to continue our role as advocate of human rights, women’s rights, child protection and youth empowerment for a better Afghanistan in future.
Organization set up to provide help and raise money for those in need
Operate in an open and effective manner to meet the needs of those we serve.
In order to empower marginalized women and youth in Afghanistan, we have developed a set of approaches that includes providing assistance to adversely affected people affected by insurgency, natural calamities, or synthetic disasters. This would be achieved by providing proper educational opportunities, improving health care facilities, organizing vocational training programmes with special guidance towards entrepreneurial activities and introducing various activities for social welfare.
